Which bulb do I need?

One E27 lamp, sold separately. Ordering it alongside the fitting is the simple route, and the choice matters here: a frosted lamp keeps the braid glowing evenly, a clear filament prints the diamond mesh onto the ceiling.

E26 or E27?

An E27 screw base. In North America an E26 lamp threads straight into an E27 socket, so a standard US bulb fits and relamping later is a two minute job rather than a search.

Which width for a living room?

The 24 inch over a seating group, the 32 inch if the room is wide or the ceiling is high. The 16 inch is an entry or a small office fitting rather than a room light.

How low does it hang?

Between 7.8 and 11 inches of shade, plus whatever cord you leave from the 3.9 feet available. Because the form is flattened rather than deep, even the 32 inch version stays well clear of head height over a sofa.

Can it go on a sloped ceiling?

Yes. This model is rated for a sloped ceiling and the cord adjusts, so the shade comes back to level under a pitch. A wide flat shade is unforgiving if it hangs out of true, so take the time to level it.

How do I clean the braid?

A soft brush, dry, worked along the direction of the weave rather than across it. Never soak rattan: it swells, loses its set and the braid opens. Once a year is enough in a normal room.

Shades cut from split rattan throw sharp bars of shadow, which is dramatic and hard to live with over a sofa. Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?
