ARTICLE 1 – PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED

When you make a purchase on our website, as part of our purchasing and selling process, we collect personal information that you provide to us, such as your name, address, email address, and phone number.

When you browse our website, we also automatically receive your computer’s Internet Protocol address (IP address), which allows us to gather more details about the browser and operating system you are using.

As part of email marketing, with your permission, we may send you emails about new products and other updates, or regarding your unfinished orders.

ARTICLE 2 – CONSENT

How do we obtain your consent?

When you provide us with your personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, schedule a delivery, or return a purchase, we assume you consent to us collecting your information.

If we ask for your personal information for a different reason, such as for marketing purposes, we will ask for your explicit consent, or we will give you the opportunity to decline.

How can you withdraw your consent?

If after giving us your consent, you change your mind and no longer consent to us contacting you, collecting your information, you can notify us by emailing us.

ARTICLE 3 – DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if the law requires us to do so, if you violate our Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use, or to the service providers described in Article 5, including our advertising and measurement partners, in the limited form described in this policy.

The website www.orodwell.com is hosted by Shopify Inc., whose registered office is located at: 150 Elgin Street, 8th Floor, Ottawa, Ontario, K2P 1L4, Canada.

ARTICLE 5 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party services we use will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us, such as payment processing.

However, some of these providers, like payment gateways and other transaction processors, have their own privacy policies regarding the information we are required to provide for your purchases on our store.

Our checkout is operated by Shopify, and payments are processed by the providers displayed at checkout. Each of them handles your information under its own privacy policy. You can read them here: Shopify, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Stripe.

Keep in mind that some of these third-party providers may be located or have facilities in a different jurisdiction than yours or ours. So if you proceed with a transaction involving the services of a third-party provider, your information may be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where that provider is located or where their facilities are located, for example.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, the information you provided to complete the transaction may be disclosed under U.S. legislation, such as the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our site or are redirected to a third-party website or app for payment, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or by the Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use of our website.

Analytics and session recording. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website. Clarity records page views, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and may capture a replay of your visit. We use this information only to improve the site. Advertising and measurement. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads, including remarketing, to measure our marketing and to show our products on Google and on partner websites. Google may set cookies or similar identifiers on your device for this purpose. You can review Google's policy at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage your ad settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information on our Your Privacy Choices page.

Google enhanced conversions. When you place an order, we send Google a hashed version of the contact details you provided at checkout, such as your name, email address, phone number and billing address. Hashing turns the data into a coded string before it leaves our systems, and it cannot be reversed back into your original details. Google uses it only to match your order to an earlier ad interaction and to measure how our advertising performs. We do not send Google your payment details, and we do not receive personal data back from Google. You can opt out of this sharing on our Your Privacy Choices page.

You may be directed away from our website by clicking on certain links on our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites and recommend that you read their privacy policies carefully.

ARTICLE 6 – SECURITY

To protect your personal data, reasonable precautions are taken by us, and we follow industry best practices to ensure that it is not lost, stolen, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed inappropriately.

If you provide us with your credit card information, it will be encrypted using the SSL security protocol and stored with AES-256 encryption. This means that no one will have access to your full card number. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we comply with all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional standards generally recognized by the industry.

ARTICLE 7 – AGE OF CONSENT

By using our website, you declare that you are at least the age of majority in your country, state, or province of residence, and that you have given us your consent for any minor under your care to use our site.

ARTICLE 8 – CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it regularly. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon posting on the website. If we make changes to the content of this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated so that you can know what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

If our website is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we can continue selling products to you.

ARTICLE 9 – SMS MARKETING

If you provide your phone number at checkout or when subscribing to our marketing list, and you agree to receive text messages, we may send you order notifications, including abandoned cart reminders, and marketing offers by SMS.

Message frequency varies and will not exceed 30 marketing messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance, or email us at support@orodwell.com.

Our SMS messages are sent through Klaviyo, our email and text messaging provider. To deliver a message we pass your phone number and the content of the message to Klaviyo. Klaviyo records delivery and engagement data, such as whether a message was delivered, whether a link was clicked, and whether an order followed. We use this only to measure our campaigns. We do not sell your phone number. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending marketing messages, and you may still receive transactional messages about an order in progress.
