A White Orb Caught Between a Wood Disc and a Stone One
Two discs overlap on the wall, one wood and one yellow travertine, and a white glass orb sits in the notch where they cross. That is the whole design: no arm, no shade, one sphere held between two flat planes. It reads as an eclipse, which is where the name comes from. This version runs on a cord about 150 cm long with an inline switch and a plug, so it goes up with a fixing and an outlet rather than an electrician. The piece measures Dia 30 x H 25 cm and stands close to the wall. The lamp is a small G9, not included. Travertine is porous, so the pitting differs on every disc.
