How is it different from the hardwired version?

Only in the supply. The bar, the lengths, the finishes and the light are the same. This one carries a 1.8 m cord with an inline switch instead of a junction box behind the plate, which trades a tidy wall for an install anyone can do and a fitting that can move to another room later.

Where does the switch sit on the cord?

Ninety centimeters from the plug, which puts it near the outlet rather than near the bar. That is the right place if the socket is reachable and the wrong place if it is behind furniture, so check where the cord will land before choosing the mounting height.

Which length for a mirror cabinet?

Match the cabinet rather than the room. The 23.6 inch bar suits a single door cabinet or a mirror up to about 36 inches, the 31.5 inch one a wide two door cabinet. The 15.7 inch bar belongs over a small mirror in a cloakroom.

Can it go in a bathroom?

Only with care. The rating is IP20, so there is no protection against water, and a plug in fitting also means a cord and a socket in the room. Keep the bar above the mirror on a dry wall, well clear of the shower, and think hard about where that socket is.

Can the cord be shortened?

Leave the cord as it is, because cutting it would put the inline switch and the plug at risk. If the run is too long, route the slack behind the furniture below rather than modifying the cord. If it is too short, an extension on the floor is safer than a modified lead.

The two finishes are not interchangeable once the bar is on the wall. White reads as part of the ceiling plane above a pale mirror or a white cabinet, which is what you want in a small bathroom already busy with tile joints and cabinet edges. Black does the opposite: it draws a deliberate horizontal line above the glass and holds its own against dark tile, a gray wall or a walnut vanity. The light coming out is identical, since the same diffuser sits along the lower edge in both. Choose by what the bar will sit against, not by what the fitting looks like on its own.

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?
