How do I place these along a staircase?

Mount them about 5 to 6 feet above the nose of the steps, measured at each fixture, so they follow the rise of the stair. On a long flight, space them every 8 to 10 feet. A tall three or four block lamp can light a short flight on its own.

What does the TRIAC dimmable version need?

A TRIAC wall dimmer, the common type for incandescent and LED loads, sold separately. With it the lamp dims smoothly. The standard version works on an ordinary on and off switch only.

Is it bright enough for stairs?

The four block lamp gives about 1600 lumens, enough to light a stairwell wall and the treads beside it. One and two block lamps are accent lights. The stone softens the glow, so there is no glare for someone walking down.

Will each block look the same?

Natural alabaster has veins, cloudy patches and shifts in tone. The blocks on one lamp will differ from each other and from the photos.

Does it need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired to a wall junction box and should be installed by a licensed electrician. If there is no box, the plug-in version of this lamp uses an outlet instead.

How far does it stand off the wall?

4.7 inches. On a narrow stair that is shallow enough to pass without brushing a shoulder, though on very tight stairs it is worth mounting above head height.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
