Travertine Is Porous, and That Is Exactly Why the Light Coming Through It Looks Soft
Each light on this bar is a disc of travertine, the same stone used for floors and basins, turned down to a shallow cup. Stone that porous scatters what passes through it, so the edge of the beam is soft and nothing on the wall gets a hard line. The discs sit on a solid wood bar in light oak or walnut, two, three or four of them depending on how wide the mirror is. It charges over USB and holds on two screws, which is why it turns up over mirrors in rooms where there was never a cable in the wall to begin with.
