Why an inner cylinder?

It hides the lamp. A tinted tube on its own would show the filament as a hot spot through the glass from whatever angle you looked at it, which is uncomfortable at bedside height. The white cylinder diffuses the source first, so what reaches the tinted glass is already even.

How many should I hang?

The tube is only 4.7 inches across, so one on its own can look lost. Three at staggered heights is the arrangement in most of these pictures, spaced about 10 inches apart, and two either side of a bed is the other common use.

Which tint for a bedside?

Amber, because it is the one that reads warm at low light levels and does not wake anybody up on the way to it. Smoke gray suits a tall room where the fitting should stay quiet, and clear is the one that shows the inner cylinder and the construction behind it.

Is the bulb included?

An E14 LED comes fitted in the light color you pick at the order. E14 is a small screw base sold in any hardware store, so replacements are easy, and the low wattage keeps the glass comfortable to the touch.

How low should it hang beside a bed?

Most people stop the bottom of the tube around 20 to 24 inches above the nightstand, which puts the glow where a hand reaches and keeps the glass above the line of sight when you sit up. The cord is cut on the day with the bed already in place.

Does the glass get hot?

The lamp is a low wattage LED inside a second cylinder, so the outer tube stays warm rather than hot and can be handled a few minutes after switching off. Keep fabric from resting directly against it, which is good practice with any fitting hung close to a bed.

Color temperature matters most at the times nobody plans for: two in the morning, half asleep, reaching for a switch. Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
