The pleated cone flares wide at the hem, so the light spreads instead of dropping in a column. The pole is thin and brass finished, so the shade appears to float and the lamp takes almost no visual space on a crowded nightstand. Does this version charge a phone?

This is the standard version, without wireless charging. If charging at the bedside is what you are after, tell us and we will point you at a base built for it rather than sell you this one.

Why is 52 cm a good height beside a bed?

Because the hem of the shade then sits above eye level when you are sitting up to read, so the light falls on the page instead of into your eyes, and the wide cone spreads it across the whole spread rather than a single column.

Beige or gray?

Beige keeps the lamp warm and close to the ash base, which suits a bedroom that already has wood in it. Gray cools the whole thing down and reads more graphic against a dark wall or a paneled headboard.

Is it switched on the cord or at the socket?

An inline switch on the cord, with a beaded pull chain visible at the socket in the close photographs. Write to us and we will tell you which control is on the lamp you are looking at.

Which bulb does it take?

A standard E26 or E27, LED or Edison, not supplied. The shade is open at both ends, so a frosted bulb keeps the filament out of view from a low chair or a bed.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
