What stone is the dome?

A pale translucent natural stone, alabaster or dolomite depending on the batch, and both behave the same way in a lamp. So what to expect is visible clouding and darker veining rather than an even white, which is what makes each dome its own piece.

Will my dome look like the photographs?

The form and the dimensions will. The figure in the stone will not, because it is quarried rather than made: the clouding, the darker streaks and the depth of color are specific to each piece. That variation is the reason to choose stone over glass.

How is it switched?

A single brass push button on the front of the wood base. That is the only control, and there is nothing on the cord. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit and nothing to unscrew.

Can I choose the color temperature?

Yes, at order: warm 3000K or cool 6000K. Because the stone is warm in tone, 3000K reads golden and soft while 6000K keeps the dome closer to white. The choice is fixed once the lamp is made.

How heavy is it?

About 8 kg, most of it in the stone dome and the solid wood base. It is not a lamp to move around often, and it wants a flat surface that can take the weight without flexing.

How do I clean the stone?

A soft dry cloth for dust and a barely damp one patted dry for marks. Nothing acidic or abrasive: these stones are soft and scratch or etch easily. Wipe the wood base along the grain and dry it at once.

One Brass Button, an Integrated LED and a Color Temperature Fixed at Order

The lamp has exactly one control: a brass push button set into the front of the wood base, within reach of a hand resting on the surface, with nothing on the cord to find in the dark. Behind it is an integrated LED rather than a socket, so there is no bulb to buy, none to fit and nothing to unscrew later. What that arrangement trades away is flexibility over the light, which is why the color temperature is chosen when the lamp is made: warm 3000K, which reads golden through the warm tone of the stone, or cool 6000K, which keeps the dome closer to white. That choice is fixed once the piece is built. Everything else is plug and set down: a 150 cm cord, AC 110 to 240V, no installation. The weight is the one practical note, at about 8 kg between the stone and the solid wood, so give it a flat surface that can carry it.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
