Cords Cut to Different Lengths, Which Is What Makes a Cascade
A stairwell is the one place in a house with height and nothing in it. Most fittings are designed for a flat ceiling and look lost there. This one is built the other way round: the spheres hang at eighteen different cord lengths and the piece is meant to be read from the side, over eight feet of drop, rather than from underneath. Eight versions, from a single sphere on one cord to eighteen spheres falling 98 inches. Alabaster with copper, E14 bulbs supplied, one bulb per sphere, hardwired.
