Three Legs Raise the Glow to the Height of a Wine Glass on a Set Table

Set a rounded lamp flat on a table and the brightest part of it ends up an inch above the surface, where the light hits the cloth and goes no further. Why is the diffuser lifted off the table?

So the light reaches the table instead of being trapped under the lamp. The three legs raise the body a few inches, which puts the widest part of the glow at the height of a glass rather than at the height of the tablecloth.

What is the diffuser made of?

Polyethylene, the material used for outdoor furniture, on a stainless steel frame. It is matte rather than glossy, it does not yellow the way some acrylics do, and it takes a knock on a stone step without chipping.

Is there a switch on the lamp itself?

Yes, a touch switch on the body, which is the one you use when the lamp is in your hand. The remote dimmer is for adjusting the level from a chair, and the dusk sensor handles the evening without either.

Can it stand on grass?

It can, on three legs, though soft ground lets it tip. Set it on a flat stone or a paver if it is going to live on a lawn. On a table, a step or a wall top there is nothing to install and no cable to run.

How long does it run?

About 8 to 10 hours from a full charge, which takes 4 to 6 hours of sun. In midsummer that is the whole evening. In midwinter, with short days and a low sun, expect noticeably less.

Can it be left out in the rain?

Yes. The rating is IP65: dust tight, and protected against water jets from every angle. Do not immerse it. Wipe the cell on the top of the diffuser if rain has left it dusty, since a dirty cell charges poorly.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?
