The Band Is Brass, Everything Else You See Lit Is Stone, and That Is the Trick

Look at this fixture from a chair and you see one horizontal brass line with light above and below it. That is the whole structure showing itself, and it is a small amount of metal for a piece this size. Most ring chandeliers do the opposite: a wide metal channel carries a diffuser and the metal is what you read. Here the band is narrow enough to become a drawn line, and the stone on either side of it is what has presence. The consequence at night is that the fixture separates into two glows with a dark stripe between them, which gives a ring of only 9.4 inches depth far more visual thickness than it actually has.

What makes it work on a sloped ceiling?

The cables, and the fact that the model is rated as compatible. Cable suspension lets the fixture find level under a pitched ceiling, where a rigid stem would hang square to the slope and sit visibly crooked.

How deep does it hang?

The body is 9.4 inches deep and the cable adds up to 3.9 ft, so the drop is set at installation rather than fixed by the build. Under a slope, measure from the lowest point of the ceiling, not the highest.

Why does the top edge look uneven?

The blocks step up and down as they run around the ring, so the silhouette changes as you walk past it. A straight edge would read as a drum. The steps are what keep the piece from looking like a plain band.

Is the brass band structural?

It carries the stone above and below it and it is the only metal visible from underneath. Everything else you see when the fixture is on is stone, which is why the band reads as a line rather than as a frame.

Which size over an island?

The 31.4 inch over a standard island, the 23.6 inch over a breakfast bar or a small round table. At 9.4 inches deep neither one drops far into the room, so both sit comfortably above a working counter.

Can the LED be replaced?

The module is built into the body, so it is not an owner serviceable part. Treat the fixture as one piece, and tell us if long term servicing matters to you and we will go through it with you.

Cables Rather Than a Stem, Which Is the Reason It Can Go Under a Pitch

A rigid stem is fixed at ninety degrees to whatever it is screwed into. Put one under a pitched ceiling and the fixture hangs at the angle of the pitch, tilted, with the shade pointing at a wall. The usual fix is a sloped ceiling adapter, an extra part that costs money and adds a visible joint. Cables solve it for free. They hang vertical whatever the ceiling does, so the ring finds level on its own and the only thing the slope changes is how much cable shows on each side. Set the drop from the lowest point of the ceiling and check the clearance at the highest, and the installation is the same as on a flat ceiling.

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.
