Two Joints Mean the Fitting Adapts to the Frame Instead of the Other Way Around

Most picture lights fix their geometry at the factory: one reach, one angle, and the room has to live with both. This one has a joint at the wall and a second at the tube, so the arm can fold in close over a slim frame or extend out and tip down over a deep canvas. That matters most on a wall whose contents change. A frame swapped for a larger one, a mirror hung where a print used to be, a canvas that stands three inches proud of the plaster: the same fitting handles all of them, provided you are willing to reach up and set it once.

How far does the arm reach?

That depends on how you set it. Both joints turn, so the tube can fold back almost against the wall or swing out and over a frame. Set it once with the light on and the artwork in place, then leave it. A jointed arm adjusted every week eventually works loose at the pivots.

Which lamp does it take?

A single GU10, not included. That choice matters more here than on a diffused bar, because a GU10 comes in narrow and wide beam angles. A narrow beam puts a defined pool on one picture. A wider one washes a mirror or a small arrangement of frames.

Can I dim it?

With a dimmable GU10 and a dimmer rated for LED loads, yes. The fitting carries no driver of its own. Halogen GU10 lamps dim smoothly on most dimmers but run hot inside a closed polished tube, so a dimmable LED is the better order.

Is the finish chrome or nickel?

We list it as polished chrome. In a room with brushed nickel tapware the two will read as different metals, so match to chrome hardware where that matters.

Does it need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired, with a supply and a box behind the square plate and a switch on the wall. The plate is small, so check that it covers your existing box opening before the old fitting is taken down.

Can it go in a bathroom?

On a dry wall, yes. The rating is IP20, which is no protection against water. Polished chrome also shows every water mark, so keep it clear of the shower and of spray and dry any splashes rather than letting them evaporate on the tube.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
