Side Table Lamp with a Branch Stem and a Tray Base
Two ideas in one object. The stem is turned and cut like a young branch, with two short stubs left standing where limbs would have grown, and it rises out of a shallow oval tray rather than a flat disc, so the base holds keys, a watch or a pair of glasses instead of just taking up room on the table. Above it sits a beige linen shade cut as a slight taper, open at the top and the bottom, which drops a soft circle onto the surface and washes the wall behind. The lamp is 32 cm across and 48 cm tall, the usual proportion for a nightstand or a side table. Two wood tones are offered, a pale natural and a walnut.
