The shade is not a flat disc. It is a rounded ring of amber tinted glass, 22 cm across, closed at the top by a brass cap, and the rounding is what shapes the light: the source inside reflects around the inner wall of the glass instead of passing straight through, so the output leaves as a warm band around the whole circumference and lays a soft halo on the surface below rather than a hard circle. Under it is a lathe turned baluster in a walnut tone, narrow at the neck and broad at the foot, with gold finished hardware at the joint. The proportion matters as much as the materials: 22 cm across and 25 cm tall is small enough to leave a nightstand or a console usable and low enough that the ring sits below a seated line of sight, which is why the lamp can be left on through an evening without glare.

How do the three color temperatures work?

A small button on the front of the wood foot steps through them in a fixed order: 3000K warm, then 4000K neutral, then 6000K daylight, then off. All three are built into the one lamp, so there is nothing to choose at order and nothing fixed at purchase.

Is it dimmable?

The inline switch is on and off only, and there is no dimmer bypass for a plug-in lamp with an integrated LED. The three color temperatures read at different brightnesses, with 3000K the softest and 6000K the most intense, but that is not dimming.

Does the amber glass change the color of the light?

Yes, it warms every setting. At 3000K the output is strongly amber. At 4000K the tint softens to a warm neutral. At 6000K the glass pulls a daylight white well down, so it stays bright and clear without reading blue.

What surface does it suit?

A nightstand, a console or a compact desk. At 25 cm tall and 22 cm across it is an accent light rather than a room light: enough to read by within about a yard, not enough to light a whole room. The wide ring keeps the source out of a seated line of sight.

Can the LED be replaced?

It is built into the body. If it fails inside the warranty period, contact us and we will arrange a replacement.

How do I clean the glass?

A soft dry cloth on the amber glass, working around the brass cap. The rounded surface shows dust quickly but clears in one pass. Keep water and solvents off it, and wipe the wood along the grain with a barely damp cloth, dried at once.

Two Separate Controls: One Switch on the Cord and Three Temperatures on the Foot

This lamp has two controls and they are not interchangeable. The inline push button on the 150 cm cord is the on and off switch, the one within reach of a hand beside a bed. The small button on the front of the wood foot does something else: each press steps the built in LED to the next color temperature, 3000K warm, then 4000K neutral, then 6000K daylight, then off. All three live in the single unit, so nothing is specified at order and nothing is locked in at purchase; the lamp also returns to whichever temperature was last active when the cord switch is used again. One thing it does not do is dim. The switch is on and off only, and a plug-in lamp with an integrated LED has no dimmer bypass, so the three temperatures are the whole of the adjustment. The LED itself is not replaceable and is rated at 25,000 to 50,000 hours.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
