A Glass Shell Held in a Gold Cradle
The scallop shell was a favorite ornament of the 1920s, and this sconce makes it the whole lamp. A shade of molded glass, fluted and scalloped like a shell, sits in a curved gold bracket against the wall. The ridges catch the light and spread it into a soft fan above the lamp. Five glass colors change the mood: seafoam green, pink, frosted white, clear and translucent. It takes a standard E26 bulb and is hardwired to a wall switch. 9.8 inches wide, 2.8 inches deep.
