Will my shade look like the photos?

The shape and the size are the same on every piece, and the exact line of the fold varies because it is made by hand while the glass is hot. Treat the pictures as the pattern rather than an exact copy of what arrives.

What bulb does it take?

A G9 capsule, not supplied, which is the small two pin lamp sold in any hardware shop. An LED G9 runs cool enough to keep the glass comfortable to touch and lasts far longer than the halogen version of the same lamp.

Does light escape between the folds?

Light leaves through the open ends and through the gap along the seam, which is what throws the pattern onto a nearby wall. Hanging it within a foot or so of a surface is how to make the most of that effect.

Is it bright enough to read by?

Beside a bed at about 24 inches above the nightstand it puts enough light on a page for comfortable reading. As general room light it covers roughly 32 to 54 square feet, so plan a second source in a room you use properly.

Can two hang together?

Pairs work well over a counter or either side of a bed, and the small size keeps them from crowding. Because the folds differ between pieces, a pair reads as two related objects rather than as a matched set.

How is the height set?

The cord arrives at 43.3 inches and is cut to the drop you want at installation. Keep a few inches of slack above the clamp so the height can be adjusted again later without rewiring the fitting.

At 6.7 inches across this shade asks for no clearance and makes no claim to light a room, so it can be hung low, close to a wall, where the folded glass throws its pattern across the plaster. Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
