This chandelier is built from dozens of individually cut wood rods, layered in concentric rings on curved iron arms. Because each rod is a separate piece of natural timber, grain runs differently through each one, tone varies a shade or two, and the lengths sit with a little natural irregularity. That is the whole reason the fitting reads as an object rather than a product. It also sets an honest expectation: yours will not be a copy of the photograph, and if you order two for one long table, order them at the same time so they come from the same run of timber.

Are the rods real wood?

Yes. Every rod is cut from natural timber, which is why grain, tone and slight dimensional variation move from rod to rod. That variation is a property of the material rather than a fault.

What does the white finish cover?

The iron arms and canopy are painted white or matte black. The rods keep their own surface, so on the white version you see pale timber against white metal rather than a uniformly painted object.

Which size for a dining table?

The 12 light at 80 or 90 cm suits a table for six to eight. The 5 light at 50 cm is a hall or bedroom fitting. The 18 light sizes from 100 to 150 cm are for a double height space or a long table.

How heavy are the large sizes?

The 18 light builds run 25 to 35 kg. Check that your ceiling junction box and the structure behind it are rated for that, and plan on a licensed electrician and a second pair of hands.

Which lamps does it take?

E14 lamps, one per head, max 15W each, not included. Warm white around 2700K to 3000K suits the timber. The rods sit between you and the lamps, so glare is not the issue here that it is on an open fitting.

How do I clean the rods?

A soft brush, worked from the top layer down, and a vacuum with a brush head for the dust that falls through. Do not wet the rods. Let the lamps cool before reaching into the layers.

Light Escapes Between the Layers, Which Is Why the Rods Are the Only Shade

There is no glass and no fabric on this fitting. The lamps sit inside the rod canopy and the light finds its way out through the gaps between layers, which breaks it into a soft, uneven scatter rather than a clean pool. Two practical consequences. Glare is not a problem here even with the lamps close together, because the timber is always between the filament and your eye, which is why it can carry eighteen heads over a table without hurting. And it is not a task light: if you need to read or chop underneath it, plan a second source, because everything this one gives you has already been filtered through wood.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
