Which diameter should I choose?

All four are 24 cm deep, so the size changes the proportion as much as the reach. At 30 cm the shade reads as a deep bowl and suits a hallway or a small table. At 40 cm it is an everyday center light. At 50 and 60 cm it flattens into a wide disc with the presence to hold a dining table, a bar or a long counter.

What is the difference between the white and the milk yellow?

Color only. White is plain and recedes against a pale ceiling, so the shade reads as a shape rather than as a color. Milk yellow is a soft warm off-white that shows more clearly against white plaster and sits well with wood and warm light. The texture, the shape and the sizes are the same on both.

Is a bulb included and is it dimmable?

An E27 LED bulb is supplied with the fixture. It is not dimmable, so the light color matters: warm 3000K, natural 4000K or cold white 6000K is chosen when the order is placed and cannot be changed on the fitting afterwards. Pick 3000K for an evening room and 4000K where you need to see colors accurately.

What is the shade made of?

High density polystyrene, molded and finished with a rough matte surface. The material is why a 60 cm shade stays light enough for an ordinary ceiling point, and the finish is why the fixture reads as a solid mass instead of reflecting the room back at you.

How do I clean a matte shade?

Dry, and gently. A rough matte surface holds dust more readily than a smooth one, so go over it with a soft dry brush or a vacuum on low suction. Keep water away from it: a porous finish takes a water mark easily and it does not come out. Do not use a solvent or an abrasive cleaner.

Which rooms is it rated for?

For indoor use only. It is not made for a bathroom, a laundry or any outdoor spot. It suits bars, restaurants, dining rooms and living spaces, which is a fair picture of where the shape works: rooms with a table or a counter to light, away from steam and direct weather.

The shade is molded from high density polystyrene, which is the reason a 60 cm dome can hang from an ordinary ceiling point without special fixing: the piece is large but light. It hangs on a 150 cm cord, so the drop is set at installation. The holder takes an E27 base and LED bulbs are supplied. The light color, warm 3000K, natural 4000K or cold white 6000K, is chosen when the order is placed, and it is worth matching to the room: 3000K for a dining table or a bar, 4000K above a counter where colors should read accurately, 6000K where you want the coolest light. The fixture is not dimmable, so pick the level you want from the start. Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
