Two Designs on One Palette, So a Room Can Take Either Without Clashing

Solid wood in a walnut tone against black wrought iron, no brass, no plating and no shades, with exposed candle lamps doing the lighting. On top of that palette sit two very different drawings. The beaded scroll is the decorative one: an iron curve with strands of pale wood beads draped along it and a turned teardrop hanging at the bottom, closer to a chandelier arm than to a bracket. The turned candlestick is the plain one, a lathe turned wood column with the arms coming straight off its side. Put either in the same traditional room and the palette carries, which is why the pair read as a range rather than as two unrelated products.

What is the difference between the two designs?

The beaded version is an iron scroll with strands of pale wood beads draped down it and a turned teardrop at the bottom, so it reads as decorative and lighter. The turned version is a solid wood candlestick with the iron arms off its side, plainer and more upright. Same palette, same candle lamps.

Will a normal US bulb fit?

Both designs take E14 lamps, the small European screw base, which is slightly larger than the US E12 candelabra base. E14 candle lamps are widely sold online, and an E12 to E14 adapter also works. A US E12 bulb will not thread in.

How wide is the two light version?

About 35 cm for the beaded design and 36 cm for the turned one, against roughly 12 cm for either one light version. That is a large difference, so decide whether you are filling a wall or accenting a narrow strip before choosing.

How should they be used?

In pairs. Two of them flanking a fireplace or a mirror is how candle sconces have always been used, and it is how every room photograph shows them. A single one in the middle of a wall does much less than two framing something.

Can they be dimmed?

With a dimmable E14 lamp and a compatible wall dimmer it would normally work, and neither the lamp nor the dimmer is included.

How do I clean them?

Let the lamps cool. Dust the wood beads and the turned parts with a soft brush rather than a cloth, since the strands and the contours catch on fabric. Wipe the iron dry and keep water off the joints.

Every Room Photograph Uses Two of Them, and That Is the Honest Advice Here

There is a reason beyond tradition. A single narrow sconce carrying one small candle lamp puts very little light into a room and reads as an afterthought on an open wall. Two of them frame something and turn a fireplace or a mirror into the center of the room, and the output doubles at the same time. Budget for a pair, and choose the one light version if the two will flank something narrow or the two light version if the wall is wide.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
