This one puts a single small cast head above the bracket and leaves the bar itself plain and flat sided. Which width suits my mirror?

Take about two thirds of the glass. A mirror under 30 inches wide suits the 16.9 inch bar, a 30 to 48 inch mirror the 22.8 inch, and anything wider the 28.7 inch. All three project the same 8.3 inches, so the choice is width alone and never a question of reach.

Is the antler head cast metal?

Yes, a cast piece finished in the same gold as the bar and seated above the bracket rather than glued on. It is small relative to the fitting, which is deliberate: an ornament at one point reads as a detail, while an ornament spread along the bar would turn the whole thing into a novelty.

Why does 8.3 inches of projection matter here?

Because the bar is slim and the light leaves its underside. At 8.3 inches off the wall the beam clears the top of a mirror frame and lands on the face of whoever is standing at it, rather than skimming the glass. Over art it clears an ordinary frame for the same reason.

Is it made in other finishes?

Does it need an electrician?
