There are no shades on this chandelier. Each arm ends in a plain black cup and the lamp sits proud of it, which puts the decision squarely on you. A flame tip candle lamp in warm white reads closest to a real candle and suits the brick and timber rooms the fitting was photographed in. Is there any wood on this one?

The specification lists hemp rope and iron only. The warm tone you see is the natural rope, not timber. If you want a wood chandelier in the same family, the beam fitting and the lantern fitting in this range both use solid wood.

Which lamps does it take?

E14 candle lamps, one per head, not included. A flame tip or a plain candle shape suits the open cups, since nothing is hidden. Warm white around 2700K keeps the rope honey rather than gray.

Will the rope shed or fray?

Natural hemp sheds a little fiber when new and settles after a few weeks. Brush it dry rather than wiping it, and keep it away from steam, which stiffens the fibers and darkens them unevenly.

How high should it hang over a table?

30 to 36 inches from the tabletop to the bottom of the cone. The chain is about 50 cm and can be shortened. Because the lamps are exposed, err on the higher side so the flames sit above eye level.

Do both sizes measure the same?

Yes, and that is unusual. Both are 68 cm across and 78 cm tall. The eight light packs two more arms into the same ring and weighs about 2 kg more. Pick by the light you need, not by the space.

Is it suitable for a bathroom or a porch?

Dry indoor rooms only. The rating is IP20, and steam or damp will mark the rope and rust the iron long before anything electrical complains.

Here the iron wheel is 68 cm across on both the six and the eight light, and the height stays at 78 cm. The eight light simply fits two more arms into the same ring. You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.
