Which bulb does it take?

One standard E26 bulb, not included. A warm white LED around 2700K suits the white ceramic. A clear filament bulb sharpens the pattern at the rim, a frosted bulb softens it into a wash.

Will two shades match exactly?

Close, but not identical. Each shade is shaped and glazed by hand, so the ruffle, the glaze tone and the thickness vary slightly. On a pair mounted a few feet apart the difference reads as craft rather than as a fault.

Does it need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired to a wall junction box and runs from a wall switch. There is no cord and no plug, which is what keeps the chrome gooseneck clean against the wall.

Can it go in a bathroom?
