Round Table Lamp Built From Stacked Wood Spheres
Everything below the shade is round. Four wood spheres are threaded one above the other, largest at the bottom and smallest at the top, and the whole column stands on a flat round disc, so the profile is a run of circles with nothing straight in it except the shade. That is the point of the design: a stacked sphere column reads as handmade even at a distance, and the graduation from large to small is what keeps it from looking like a stack of identical beads. Above it sits a plain drum in white fabric, 25 cm across, which lets the light out evenly through the sides and down onto the surface. The lamp stands 50 cm tall in a single walnut finish.
