Scale is the problem with a wide flush fixture. A dome 80 cm across in glass or plaster would be too heavy for a standard ceiling box and too fragile to fit without help. Molding it in high density polystyrene solves both at once: the material is rigid enough to hold a smooth curve at that span and light enough that the fixing carries it without reinforcement. That is what makes the five size range possible, from 45 cm in a small bedroom up to 80 cm across an open living space. The surface is not left plain either. Five finishes give it a mineral grain, from white texture through cement gray to brick red, so the dome reads as a material rather than as a painted shell.

How many sizes are there?

Five. Diameters run 45, 52, 60, 70 and 80 cm, or 17.7, 20.4, 23.6, 27.5 and 31.4 in, with matching heights of 21, 24, 28, 33 and 37 cm, or 8.3, 9.4, 11, 13 and 14.6 in. The proportions stay the same as the fixture scales up.

What are the surface finishes?

Five: white texture, cement gray, brick red, dark gray stone spots and light gray stone spots. Each carries a mineral grain across the dome rather than a flat paint film, so the surface catches side light and reads as a textured material from the floor.

Why does the packaging have a smell on opening?

The maker explains it directly. The high density polystyrene is sealed in protective packaging for long distance transport, and the packaging materials and internal environment may produce a slight odor on opening. It dissipates completely after a few days and does not affect the safety or the quality of the product.

What bulb does it take?

An LED bulb or an Edison bulb on an E26 or E27 base, which are the standard medium screw bases. The bulb is not supplied with the fixture. Because the dome is large, a bulb with a wide beam fills the shade more evenly than a narrow spot.

Is it heavy for a ceiling box?

The body is high density polystyrene, a molded foam rather than glass or stone, which is what keeps a dome this wide manageable. The metal parts carry the fixing. As with any ceiling fixture, confirm the box is rated for the weight and have a licensed electrician make the connection.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

No. The rating is IP20, which carries no protection against moisture, so a bathroom is outside what this fixture is built for. The maker lists it for indoor use, which points to a bedroom, a living room or a dining room where the air stays dry.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
