The bulb is left to you, so you choose the lamp yourself. That also decides whether you can dim the fixture: it is dimmable only when a dimmable bulb is fitted, and pairing an ordinary lamp with a dimmer will not work. Fit the lamp before you set the final hanging height, since it is easier to reach at that point.

The 50 and 60 cm discs are both 21 cm deep and stay low and wide, which suits a table for four or six and keeps the fixture out of the sight line. The 80 cm version is deeper at 29 cm and wants a long table or a room with height behind it; in a low room it starts to feel like a ceiling that has come down to meet you.

The bottom of the disc normally sits around 75 to 85 cm above the table surface. The wire runs 150 cm and adjusts, so you can set that exactly. Lower than about 70 cm and the wide shade begins to block the view across the table; much higher and the pool of light spreads out and loses the edge that makes a low wide shade worth having.

Yes, the fitting is compatible with a sloped ceiling. That matters in an attic room or under a pitched roof, where a fixture with a fixed canopy hangs at an angle and never looks right. The cord pendant lets the shade find vertical on its own, and the 150 cm wire gives you the room to set the height after the canopy is in place.

Each one is its own piece. The hemp rope keeps its own color, a run of brown and beige tones, and each length is wound and laid by hand, so the pattern across the surface differs from one shade to the next. Two fixtures of the same size match in shape and dimensions, with the surface reading slightly differently between them.

Dry only. Use a soft brush or a vacuum on the lowest suction with a brush head, and follow the direction in which the rope is wound rather than working across it, so nothing snags or lifts a strand. Keep water away from the hemp. Switch the fixture off and let it cool first. This is an indoor fitting.
