What does stepless dimming change?

Stepped dimming gives you three or four fixed levels and you take whichever is closest. Stepless runs the brightness smoothly from full down to a low glow, so the light can be set to the picture and the room rather than to the nearest preset. Over artwork at night that is the difference between lit and washed out.

Can it really change color temperature?

Warm suits a painting and an evening room. Cool suits a mirror when makeup or shaving is the job. Being able to move between the two on one fitting is unusual at this size.

Does it need wiring or an outlet?

Neither. The cell inside charges over a USB cable, from a wall adapter, a laptop or a power bank, and then the sconce runs with nothing attached to it. Two screws hold the disc, or adhesive where drilling is not an option, which is what makes it work in a rented room.

How long does a charge last?

About 4 hours of continuous light per full charge. Dimming extends that considerably, since a low setting draws far less than full output, and the auto off timer stops a forgotten light from emptying the cell overnight.

Which finish should I take?

Brushed gold and aged bronze are the warm pair and sit with brass frames and wood. Brushed nickel and matte black are the cool pair and sit with tile, glass and steel. Note that gold and bronze are priced a little above nickel and black, which is a finish cost rather than a difference in the light.

Will it light a deep frame?

It projects 5.9 inches, which clears an ordinary frame. A very deep or thick frame will shade its own face. Measure from the wall to the front of the frame, and look at a longer arm if that figure is much over three inches.

The light output is identical across all four, so nothing about performance rides on this.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
