Switch it on and the stone stops being opaque. What length for my table?

Leave about a foot of table at each end. A 70.8 inch bar suits a table around 94 inches long. Over a kitchen island, match the length of the stone to the working part of the counter rather than to the whole island.

How high should it hang?

Around 30 to 34 inches above the table top for a dining table, so the bar sits below the eye line of anyone standing and above the eye line of anyone sitting. The cables adjust up to 4.9 ft at installation.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

It is rated IP20, which means no protection against water at all, and it is rated for dry locations only. A kitchen or a dining room is fine. A bathroom or a covered terrace is not.

Which color temperature should I pick?

Warm 3000K on a dining table, because it flatters food, timber and skin. Neutral 4000K over a working kitchen counter. The choice is made at the time of order and cannot be changed afterward on this model.

Does the stone look the same lit and unlit?

It changes completely, and that is worth knowing before you buy. Unlit it reads as a pale solid block. Lit from inside, the veining appears through the face and the whole bar warms up. Both states are visible in the photographs.

Is there a bulb to replace?

There is not. The LED is built into the body and is not replaceable, which is what allows the block to be solid with no opening in it. Treat the fixture as one part rather than as a housing with a lamp in it.

The depth of a linear fixture decides whether people can see each other across the counter it hangs over. At 13.7 inches, this one is deep enough to carry the stone and shallow enough to sit above the conversation when it is hung at the usual height over an island. Compare that with a cage or a cluster of the same length, where the visual mass runs much further down and the person opposite disappears behind it. There is a second consequence. A solid block that shallow throws its light straight down onto the counter rather than sideways into the room, so the working surface is lit and the walls stay dark, which is the contrast most kitchens are trying to get.

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
