Why choose a curved stem over a straight one?

Because of where the pole ends up. A straight lamp stands next to the chair and takes the space your arm wants. A curved stem puts the base behind or to the side and leans the shade in over the seat, so nothing is at elbow height. In a small room that is the difference between a chair you can sit in properly and one you keep shuffling.

Is the pleated shade fabric or paper?

Fabric, pleated and open at the bottom. The folds do two things: they hold their shape without a heavy frame, and they let a little light through the sides, which keeps the lamp from looking like a hard spotlight in a dark room. Dust them with a soft brush along the folds rather than across them.

Can it light a whole room?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
