How big is the shade?

11.8 inches across, and the whole sconce is 16.1 inches tall. It is large enough to read as a feature on a bedroom wall, and small enough for a pair either side of a queen bed.

Which bulb should I use?

An LED bulb in warm white. A clear filament bulb shows the weave most, a frosted one gives a softer glow. Keep to LED so the rattan stays cool. The bulb is not included.

Where should I mount it by a bed?

About 5 feet from the floor, or roughly 20 inches above the mattress top, a little to the side of the pillow. The arm brings the shade forward so the light falls on the bed rather than the wall.

Does rattan change over time?

It slowly deepens in tone, especially in sunlight. That is normal for natural rattan and part of its appeal.

How do I clean it?

Dust the shade with a soft brush or a vacuum on low with a brush head. Keep it away from steam and water.

Does it need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired to a wall junction box and switched from the wall.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
