A slim light screwed flat to the wall above a mirror does one thing well and one thing badly. It looks quiet, and it throws a hard bright line across the top two inches of the glass while the rest stays dim. The twin arms here exist to fix that. Which length suits my mirror?

Measure the glass, then take about half to two thirds of that width. A 24 inch round mirror takes the 13.8 inch bar, a 36 inch mirror the 17.7 or 22.8 inch, and a 48 inch mirror the 29.5 inch. Going wider than the glass puts light on bare wall beside it, which is the one mistake that is hard to unsee.

Does it need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired: the wall plate covers a junction box and the supply comes through the wall, so there is no cord and no plug. If you cannot add a box above the mirror, the plug in version of the same bar is the one to look at.

Can I dim it?

Only if you order the dimmable build. That version needs a TRIAC dimmer, also sold as a leading edge dimmer, and a plain rotary dimmer will not drive it. The standard build is not dimmable and runs from an ordinary wall switch.

Can it go in a bathroom?

On a dry wall, yes. The rating is IP20, which means no protection against water, so keep it above the mirror and clear of the shower and of direct spray.

Can the bulb be changed later?

The LED is built into the tube and is not replaceable, so the fitting is a sealed unit. That is what keeps the tube this slim, and it is the trade to weigh against a lamp holder you could relamp in ten years.

How do I clean it?

Switch it off and let it cool. Wipe the tube and the arms with a dry soft cloth, and lift marks with a barely damp cloth, drying at once. Keep abrasive pads and solvents off the brass, since the finish sits on the surface.

The four sizes share a single height of 7.1 inches and differ only in length, from 35 cm up to 75 cm. That matters when you are fitting a mirror rather than furnishing a wall. The bar reads as part of the mirror when it spans about half to two thirds of the glass, and it reads as a separate object the moment it spans more. Wattage follows the length, about 7W on the shortest and about 16W on the longest, so the light per inch of glass stays close across the range instead of leaving the wide version dim. In a double vanity two shorter bars, one centered on each mirror, usually beat one long bar stretched across both.

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?
