A Rod Through a Disc, Which Is About as Little Hardware as a Picture Light Can Carry
The whole fitting is a slim rod pushed through a round disc, and the disc is the mount. There is no arm, no knuckle and no visible screw, so above a frame it reads as a line of light with a full stop in the middle. Two lengths, 15.7 and 23.6 inches, cover most artwork and most bathroom mirrors. Four finishes are offered, gold, bronze, black and brushed nickel, which is unusual on a rechargeable fitting and makes it easier to match taps or door hardware. The battery sits inside the rod, so the piece goes up on tile or plaster without a cable.
