The Ring Is the Handle and the Stand, Which Is Why There Is No Base at All

Look for the foot on this lamp and there is none. A dome with no base has one problem, which is that it rolls, and the usual answer is a molded plastic ring or a weighted disc underneath. Here the answer is the handle. The metal ring is fixed to one side of the dome and does two jobs: you lift the lamp by it, and when you put the lamp down the ring takes the weight and holds the dome at a slight tilt so the light throws forward rather than straight down. One part, two functions, and the object stays down to two pieces. It is also why the lamp reads the same from every side, because there is nothing on it to be a front or a back.

How long does one charge last?

About 3 hours at full output and up to about 10 hours at the lowest setting, from a 2000 mAh cell. A full charge takes about 3 hours over USB, and the cable comes with the lamp.

What is the ring actually for?

Both jobs at once. It is the handle you carry the lamp by, and it is what the dome leans against when it is set down, so the body needs no base plate and no foot underneath it.

Which size for a dinner table?

The 9.1 inch. It sits between plates at about 4.7 inches tall, which is below the eye line of anyone sitting across the table. The 14.2 inch is a floor, ledge or side table piece.

Can it be left outside?

It is rated IP65 against dust and water jets from any direction, so rain will not hurt it. Do not immerse it. Bring it in to charge rather than leaving the port open in wet weather.

Is there anything to install?

Nothing at all. There is no wiring, no fixing and no cable in use, which is exactly what lets the lamp sit on a dinner table, a wall ledge or a step where no supply reaches.

Can the ring be hung from something?

The ring will take a hook or a rail, and it hangs well from a shelf edge. Treat that as a light duty use and check whatever you hang it from, because the ring is a handle first.

It Charges Over a USB Port, So the Table Never Has a Cable Running Across It

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
