The Arms Curve Away, So the Light Lands Beside the Post and Not Under It

A post with a head on top lights a circle centered on itself, which is fine if the post happens to stand where you want the light. It rarely does. The arms here reach out and over, so each tube hangs clear of the upright and the pool of light sits to one side, over the path, the border or the edge of the paving instead of around the base plate. That also means the post can be set back into planting where it is out of the way, and the light still arrives where people walk. Two arms at different heights spread two overlapping pools rather than doubling one, which is why the two arm version is not simply twice as bright.

Why do the tubes hang vertically?

Because a tube on its side throws a stripe and a tube standing upright throws a column. Hanging them vertically lights the ground beside the post over a wider area and keeps the source out of the direct line of sight.

One arm or two?

One arm where the fixture edges a narrow path and the light only has to go one way. Two arms where the post stands between a path and a border, or where you want the sculptural reading rather than the practical one.

What do the two heights suit?

The 30.9 inch reads as a tall bollard and lights a path edge. The 47.2 inch is closer to a proper post lamp and reaches across a wider bed, which suits a driveway edge or a broad terrace.

Are the tubes glass?

Acrylic, ribbed along the length. It survives a knock from a wheelbarrow or a mower where glass at that height would not, and the ribbing spreads the output instead of showing the LED as a line.

What is the wiring?

Hardwired on AC 110-240V, brought up under the base plate and terminated in a weatherproof connection. It runs from a common wall switch on the circuit, which is not supplied with the fixture.

Can it stand in an exposed garden?

Yes. The rating is IP65, dust tight and proof against water jets from any direction, which covers driving rain and sprinklers. Do not immerse it, and keep the base plate clear of piled mulch.

Ribs Down the Tube, Which Is What Keeps a Vertical Source Comfortable to Sit Near

A bare vertical tube at waist height is a glare bar. You notice it from every seat in the garden and it stays in your vision after you look away. Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
