How deep is the shade?

Wide rather than deep. These discs are built as a broad canopy, so even the 31.5 inch version sits high and keeps a clear sightline across a table. Plan on the rim 30 to 36 inches above the tabletop. Send us your ceiling height and the size you want and we will confirm the exact drop for your room.

Is the largest one brighter?

All four widths carry the same single 15W E27 lamp, so the 31.5 inch spreads that output over two and a half times the area of the 19.7 inch and reads softer. Size the shade to the table, then light the room separately if you want a brighter surface.

Is the bulb included?

Order an E27 lamp with it. The fitting ships without one. A frosted lamp keeps the glow even through the weave, while a clear filament shows as a bright point from below.

Natural or black?

Natural glows through the weave and lights the ceiling with it. Black holds the light inside and only the rim and the open base show, so the room stays darker and the fitting reads as a silhouette. They behave like two different lights.

Does it throw a pattern?

Yes, and an irregular one. The strands are wound in a spiral rather than crossed in a grid, so the shadow has no repeat and it changes as you move. That is the quality that separates this from a machine woven shade.

How much does it weigh?

Black Rattan and Natural Rattan Behave Like Two Completely Different Lights

In natural the weave glows. Light passes through the rattan itself, the shade becomes the bright object, and the ceiling around it picks up the spiral. In black almost nothing passes through. The strands absorb the light, only the rim and the open base show, and the room below stays darker while the fitting reads as a dark shape against the plaster. Same object, same lamp, opposite effect. Decide whether you want a light that fills the room or one that marks a place in it.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
