Three Lengths on One Profile, Which Is How One Fitting Covers a Whole House

The three sizes here share a height of 8.5 cm and a single bracket, and differ only in length. That makes them usable as a set rather than as three separate products. The short one goes above a round mirror in a cloakroom, the middle one above a framed print in a hall, the long one above a canvas or a wide bathroom mirror, and because the profile does not change, the fittings read as a family from room to room. Wattage rises with length, about 7W, 9W and 12W, so the wide version is not a dim stretch of the short one. Where people go wrong is buying one length for everything: the bar has to be scaled to what hangs below it, not to the wall it is on.

Which length for which mirror?

Take about half to two thirds of the width below. A 24 to 30 inch mirror takes the 16.5 inch bar, a 36 inch mirror the 22.4 inch, a 48 inch mirror or wide canvas the 30.3 inch. Power follows length, about 7W, 9W and 12W, so light per inch stays close across the three.

Is it adjustable?

We describe it as fixed. Treat the aim as set by where you mount it, and look at the pivot or articulated models in this range if you need to point the beam afterwards.

Why is it only 3.3 inches tall?

Because the whole design is a thin line. At 8.5 cm the tube is shallow enough to sit above a mirror without crowding the top of the glass, and above a plaster panel it reads as an edge rather than as a fitting. It is the least visible bar in this group when switched off.

Is there a darker version?

Yes. The pivot model in this range uses the same 8.5 cm body in the same three lengths in a bronze tone, with an arm that tips. If you want this profile in a dark finish, that is the one to compare.

Can it go over a bathroom mirror?

On a dry wall above the mirror, yes. IP20 means no water protection, so keep it clear of the shower and of direct spray.

How do I clean it?

Switch it off and let it cool. A dry soft cloth on the tube and the diffuser is enough for dust. Lift marks with a barely damp cloth and dry at once, and keep abrasives off the gold tone, which sits on the surface.

Plain on Purpose, Because Above a Mirror or a Panel the Wall Is Meant to Be the Subject

There is no cast pattern here, no finial, no arc. The bracket is short and the tube is straight, and that restraint is the reason to choose this one over the decorative fittings in the range. Above a sculpted plaster panel, the light has to describe the surface without adding a second object to look at. Above a round mirror in a small bathroom, an ornate fitting fills the wall and a plain tube leaves it open. Above a desk, the bar throws light on the work and stays out of the sight line. The finish still does some work, since gold warms a pale wall, but the shape is deliberately quiet, and the test of this fitting is whether you stop noticing it after a week.

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.
