Aiming the Light After the Furniture Arrives Is Something Almost No Pendant Allows

You pick a pendant from a photograph, it goes up, and then the table moves eight inches or the chair ends up somewhere else. With a fixed shade that is the end of the conversation. How far does the globe turn?

Far enough to point the open face anywhere from straight down to roughly horizontal, which covers every useful direction. It holds position by friction on the two pivots, so it is set once by hand and stays there through normal use.

What does the mirrored half actually do?

It reflects the output back out of the open side instead of letting it escape through the glass. Aimed down, that makes a surprisingly tight pool on a table. Aimed at a wall, the same light comes back into the room as a wide soft wash.

Can it light a reading chair?

That is one of the better uses for it. Hang it beside the chair rather than over it and turn the open face toward the seat, and you get directed light on a page without a floor lamp taking up the corner.

Is the bulb included?

An E27 LED comes in the carton, so the fitting works the day it is wired. E27 is the standard screw base here, so replacing it years from now means walking into any hardware store.

Will fingerprints show on the mirror?

They will, the way they do on any mirrored surface, and they come off with a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid wet cleaning: water that creeps past the plating at the rim is what dulls a mirrored shade over time.

How does it look over a dining table?

Two of them turned at slightly different angles is the arrangement in one of the pictures, which keeps the pair from reading as a matched set. Hung around 32 inches above the top with the open faces down, they light the plates and leave the faces across the table clear.

A Mirrored Half Gathers the Light That an Ordinary Glass Shade Simply Loses Sideways

Clear glass lets most of the output leak in every direction, which is why a glass pendant lights a room evenly and a table badly. Plating one half of the globe turns it into a reflector: everything that would have escaped backward comes forward through the open face instead. The result is a surprisingly directional light from a shade that still reads as a glass sphere when it is switched off.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
