A molded glass shade has a clean rim because it comes out of a mold in one piece. This one has no rim at all. Each petal is a separate piece of glass held in its own loop of plated wire, and the shade is built up from them like a flower, with the overlaps tightening toward the bottom. From below that gives a broken, uneven outline that catches light along every edge, and gaps between the petals that let the bulb through in thin lines. It also means no two fixtures close in exactly the same way. At 20 cm across the whole assembly is small enough that this amount of detail reads as jewelry rather than as clutter.

How small is it?

7.9 in across by 7.9 in high, or 20 by 20 cm, which is about the size of a grapefruit. It is sold in one size only. That scale is the point of the fixture: it fits a corridor ceiling, a closet or a landing where a full size shade would crowd the space and a bare socket would look unfinished.

Which glass colors are offered?

Three: clear, green and pink. The brass frame is gold plated on all three. Clear glass sends the most light into the room and reads as cut crystal when lit. Green and pink tint the glow slightly and show their color strongly in daylight, when the fixture is off and the petals are lit from the window.

What bulb does it take?

One E26 or E27 screw bulb, LED or Edison filament, and none is supplied. A compact bulb disappears behind the petals. A larger globe fills the shade and shows through the gaps between them. Because the petals are glass rather than opaque, the bulb is partly visible whatever you choose.

Is each fixture identical?

Close, but not exactly. The petals are set into the frame individually, so the spacing and the overlap vary a little from one piece to the next. That is what separates an assembled shade from a molded one, and it shows most along the bottom edge where the petals close around the bulb.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The maker rates it IP20, suitable for indoor spaces where it cannot be exposed to moisture, which excludes a bathroom or a shower room. Glass set in wire loops also traps steam at every joint, so keep it to corridors, entries, bedrooms and other dry rooms.

How is it mounted?

Hardwired directly to a ceiling junction box, with a standard wall switch controlling the supply. The switch is not included. The fixture has no drop and no chain, so the only clearance needed is the flat ceiling area around the box. A licensed electrician should make the connection.

A tinted shade changes the light it transmits, but on a fixture this small the more noticeable effect is what the glass does in daylight. Clear petals read as cut crystal against the ceiling and all but disappear in a bright corridor. Green petals pick up the window light and hold their color through the day. Pink does the same in a warmer register and suits a bedroom or a child's room. Lit after dark all three send a warm glow through the gaps between the petals, with the gold plated frame catching the light on every wire. One size, 20 cm across, so the color is the only decision to make.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
