Globes at Two Heights, So the Ring of Light Has Depth Instead of a Flat Line

Most multi arm fittings put every shade at the same level, which reads as a flat disc from the doorway. Here the arcs spring from the column at two different points, so on the six and eight light the globes finish at two heights. Three things follow. The fitting has a silhouette rather than an outline, which matters in a room with a low ceiling where you see it side on. The light falls in two overlapping pools rather than one hard ring. And the walnut column stays visible through the gap instead of being hidden behind a solid row of glass. On the three light every arm sits at one height, which is the right call at that size.

Is the column real wood?

Yes. The specification lists metal, wood and glass, and the column is a turned wood piece in a walnut tone. The arms and the canopy are metal in a gold finish. Grain and tone shift slightly between pieces.

What bulb color temperature suits it?

Warm white around 2700K to 3000K. It flatters brass and walnut and keeps the opal glass reading ivory. A 4000K lamp pushes the same fitting toward gray and flattens the grain in the column.

How many lights for a dining room?

Six for a table of six to eight, eight for anything longer. The three light is a room accent rather than a table fitting, better over a coffee table, a landing or a bedroom seating corner.

Does it need an electrician?

Yes. It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box and switched from a common wall switch, which is not included. The chain is about 30 cm and can be extended on request.

Can the globes be removed for cleaning?

Each globe unscrews from its collar. Let the lamps cool first, take one globe at a time, and wash in warm water with a little detergent. Dry fully before refitting so no water reaches the socket.

What is the maximum wattage?

40W per head, and it is worth respecting on a closed glass globe where heat has nowhere to go. An LED lamp of 5W to 8W gives the same light well inside that limit.

Opal Glass Does the Work That a Clear Globe Leaves to the Bulb You Buy

A clear glass globe shows the lamp, which means the fitting looks only as good as the bulb you happen to have in the drawer. These globes are white opal, so the glass itself diffuses. You get an even glow with no visible filament, no bright spot on the ceiling, and no glare across a coffee table when people are sitting low. It also means a plain cheap LED works here: the glass hides the diodes and the plastic collar. Keep every globe to the same lamp and the same color temperature, because opal glass shows a mismatch between two heads more clearly than clear glass does.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
