Five Bulbs Behind a Ring of Fluted Glass, Held Close Enough to the Ceiling for a Low Room
The drum is a ring of vertical glass flutes inside a brass frame, with a flat diffuser closing the bottom and five lamp holders hidden between the two. That arrangement is why it lights a whole room rather than a table: the flutes send light sideways onto the ceiling and the walls while the diffuser takes care of everything below. It is 19.7 inches across and hangs on a 19.7 inch rod, so it suits a room that cannot take a long drop but still wants something more than a plain plate.
