Which of the four sizes should I choose?

Two are about width and two are about proportion. The 30 cm shade is a small accent, good alone in a narrow spot or in a pair over a counter. The 40 cm is the everyday center light for an ordinary room. Both 50 cm versions cover a dining table or a seating area; the 50 by 30 cm reads as a low band, the 50 by 50 cm as a full column. If the ceiling is high, the taller one holds the space better.

Does it come with a bulb?

The bulb is left to you. The holder takes an E26 or E27 base, the standard screw fitting in most households, and both LED and Edison filament bulbs work. That choice matters more here than on a closed shade: the linen weave lets the bulb show through, so a soft LED gives an even glow while a visible filament reads as a warm point inside the cylinder.

How long is the cord and can I shorten it?

The cord is 150 cm, which covers a standard ceiling and leaves room for a higher one. The drop is set during installation, so it can be taken up over a dining table or left long in a stairwell or a room with height. A longer cord can be supplied on request, so tell us the ceiling height and we will arrange it.

How heavy is it, and what does the ceiling need?

The fixture weighs 6 kg. That is well within what a sound ceiling box will carry, but it is not a light shade: check that the fixing point is properly anchored rather than screwed into plasterboard alone, and have a second pair of hands for the 50 cm sizes when you lift it into place.

Which rooms is it made for?

Dry indoor rooms. It suits a living room, a dining room, and the kind of restaurant or bar interior where a soft, textured light matters more than output. It is not made for a bathroom, and not for a covered porch or any outdoor spot: linen holds moisture and the bamboo frame moves with it.

How do I clean the linen?

Dust it with a soft brush or a vacuum on the lowest suction, working along the weave rather than across it. Lift a mark with a barely damp cloth and a little mild soap, blotting rather than rubbing, then let it dry completely before switching the light back on. Do not soak the fabric, and keep liquid away from the holder and the cord.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?
