One Piece of Cast Aluminum, With No Joint at All Between a Head and a Stem

The place a path light fails is almost always the same: the seam where the head meets the post. Water finds it, the gasket hardens, and three winters later the inside of the shade is green. This body has no such seam. It is one slab of cast aluminum with a slot machined into the face and the diffuser bedded into that slot, so the only sealed line is the one around a flat panel rather than one around a lid on a stem. Fewer parts also means a thinner profile, which is why it can be 2.4 inches deep when a head and post build needs four or five to hide the same components.

Why is the body so thin?

Because a path fixture is seen edge on more often than face on. At 2.4 inches deep it nearly disappears from the side, so a run of them along a walk reads as a line of light rather than a line of objects standing in the border.

What is the slot made of?

Milky polycarbonate, lit from behind along its whole length. It spreads the output evenly instead of showing the LED as a point, and it takes a knock from a mower or a wheelbarrow without shattering the way glass would.

Which height goes where?

The 9.8 inch at a bed edge or a step, the 15.7 inch along a walk, the 23.6 inch where the planting is tall enough to swallow anything shorter. Mixing two heights in one run is what the range is drawn for.

Black or gray finish?

Black against dark paving, timber and clipped hedging, where it disappears by day. Gray against pale stone and render, where a black body reads as a hard vertical mark in daylight photographs of the garden.

What does the wiring need?

A hardwired supply on AC 110-240V brought up at each position and terminated in a weatherproof connection under the base. It runs from a common push switch, which is not supplied with the fixture.

Is it built for an exposed position?

Yes. IP65 covers dust and water jets from any direction, which is what sprinklers and driving rain deliver. Do not immerse it, and keep the base clear of soil so water drains away from the fixing.

A line of identical bollards at identical spacing is a fence with lights in it. The range gives you three heights on one footprint precisely so the run can breathe: a 23.6 inch body where the grasses are tall, a 15.7 inch where the planting drops away, a 9.8 inch at the step or the bed edge where anything bigger would shout. The lit detail is the same on all three, so the group still reads as one family. What changes is where the light lands, and that is worth more on a real garden path than exact repetition, because real planting is not the same height along its whole length either.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
