The Glass Sits Inside a Bent Wood Arch Instead of Hanging From a Metal Cap
Nearly every pendant hangs its shade from a metal cap. This one suspends a tinted glass dome inside a bent wood arch, pinned at both sides, so the timber frames the glass instead of sitting on top of it. The result is a fitting with a visible structure, closer to a piece of joinery than to a lamp, which is the part of the japandi vocabulary it borrows from. The dome is 11.8 inches across and the cord runs to 59 inches.
