This one has a flat bottom wide enough to sit on and a strap on the lid strong enough to hang from, so the same object does both jobs in the same evening. Can it really be hung?

Yes, by the strap on the lid, and a group of them hanging from tree branches over a terrace is exactly how they are photographed. Use a hook rather than looping the strap directly over rough bark.

Does it light differently hanging than standing?

It throws the same lattice pattern either way, but the pattern lands somewhere else. Standing on a table it prints on the table top. Hanging from a branch it casts down onto the ground and out across whatever is under it.

Where is the solar cell?

In the small lid at the top of the body, which is why the lid is flat rather than domed. Hanging under a dense tree canopy will keep it from charging, so hang it where the sky is open above it.

What is the weave made of?

It holds its color outdoors and it does not soften in rain, which matters more on a piece that spends its life suspended in the open.

Is the strap leather?

Treat it as you would any strap left outdoors: it carries the lantern easily, and it is worth checking the fixing before hanging it somewhere high.

Can it stay out through the season?

Yes. The rating is IP65, so dust is kept out and water jets from any side are covered. Do not immerse it. Take it down before a storm rather than leaving it swinging from a branch.

The weave here is an open diamond lattice rather than a tight basket, and behind it sits an acrylic core that spreads the light before it reaches the pattern. Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
