Two Offset Discs, One Hidden LED, and a Rim of Stone That Carries the Light

The construction is simple and it is the whole point. A crescent of yellow travertine sits at the back, a solid wood disc sits in front of it and slightly off center, and the LED lives in the gap between them. Because the light leaves sideways rather than forward, you never see a lamp and you never look into a source. What you see is the wall washed behind the piece and the exposed edge of the stone lit from within, which is where the half moon reading comes from. The stone is porous and banded, so the lit rim is never even in the way a frosted panel would be; it brightens where the stone is thin and stays dark where it is dense. Three sizes run from 25 to 45 cm across, all of them 6.5 cm deep.

Which size should I pick?

The 25 cm reads as a single point of light beside a bed or in a narrow hallway. The 35 cm holds a wall on its own above a console. The 45 cm is a wall piece first and a light second, and wants space around it.

How far does it stand off the wall?

Only 6.5 cm on all three sizes. That is what lets it go in a hallway or next to a door where an arm or a shade would catch a shoulder.

Where does the light come from?

From an integrated LED set between the wood disc and the travertine crescent behind it. The light leaves sideways onto the wall and through the rim of the stone, so no lamp and no glare is visible from the front.

Can it be dimmed?

A triac dimmable version can be ordered. Ask for it when you place the order so the right driver goes in, and fit a triac dimmer on the circuit rather than a rotary one.

Walnut disc or light wood?

Both sit on the same yellow travertine. Walnut is a deeper brown that holds its own against a dark wall; the light wood disc keeps closer to the stone and reads softer. Ask us for photographs of both against your wall color.

How do I clean it?

Dust both faces with a dry cloth. Lift marks from the travertine with a barely damp microfiber cloth and dry at once, and avoid acidic cleaners. Wipe the wood disc along the grain.

Sized for the Wall It Goes On, Not for the Room That Happens to Hold It

Three sizes is not three of the same thing. At 25 cm the piece behaves like a light: it marks a bedside or a hallway and leaves the wall around it alone. At 35 cm it starts to hold a wall by itself, which is how it works above a console or a sideboard. At 45 cm and 5 kg it is a wall object that happens to light, and it needs clear wall around it and a fixing that takes the weight. All three project only 6.5 cm, so none of them is in the way of a shoulder in a corridor. The photographs of two and three pieces on one wall are worth looking at, because that grouping only works when the sizes differ; three identical discs read as a mistake.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
