Gold and White Table Lamp with a Floating Disc
The disc appears to float. Two slim brass arms rise from a polished brass sphere in a narrow V and hold a wide frosted white disc above it, angled slightly, with the light source sitting in the sphere below and throwing upward against the underside. What comes back is entirely indirect: a broad soft wash with no visible source from any seated position, and a lit white plane that seems to hover with nothing under it. Below the sphere the base is a tapered cone of wood in a deep reddish brown, heavy enough to anchor a 36 cm disc held out on brass arms, with a single brass button on its side for the touch control. The LED is built in and a 2000 mAh battery charges over USB in about three hours, running roughly three hours at full output or up to ten at the lowest setting. It stands 40 cm tall.
