If you want the shape of a classical chandelier, the market gives you crystal, and crystal brings a specific behavior with it. Doing the same tiered silhouette in alabaster keeps the form and removes the behavior. The rows read as a chandelier from across the room, but the light is a single soft field and the piece stays still. How is this different from a crystal chandelier?

The shape is the same family, the material is not. Crystal refracts and throws points of light around the room. Alabaster passes light through and softens it, so you get the same tiered outline with an even glow instead of sparkle.

Can the chain be shortened?

The chain is a fixed length up to 4.9 ft on this model. If your ceiling is higher or lower than usual, tell us and we will look at the drop with you.

Are the bulbs supplied?

Yes, fourteen E14 bulbs come with the fitting on both sizes. They sit in a ring inside the frame, above the petals, so the light reaches the stone from behind rather than shining down through the middle.

Which size over a dining table?

The 31.5 inch over a table seating six or more, the 21.6 over a four seat table or in a bedroom. At 140W and 14 000 lumens both are bright, so the size is about proportion rather than about output.

Can it go on a sloped ceiling?

Yes, this model is rated for it. Tell us the angle when you order. Note that the chain length is fixed, so under a pitch you should measure the drop from the lowest point of the ceiling rather than the highest.

Will the petals match each other?

Close, but not identical. Each petal is cut from natural alabaster, so some are almost plain and others carry visible veining. Across a tiered fitting that variation is what keeps the rows from reading as pressed glass.

The Bulbs Sit Above the Petals, Which Is Why You Never Look Into a Source

Fourteen E14 bulbs are arranged in a ring inside the gold frame, above the top row of stone. That position does the work. Light travels down and outward through the overlapping petals, so from any seat in the room you are looking at lit stone and never at a filament. It is the reason a fitting rated at 14 000 lumens is comfortable to sit under. The trade is that the frame has to be tall enough to hold the bulbs above the rows, which is why the fitting is 17 to 21.6 inches deep rather than the flat disc that the same petal count could otherwise make.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
