Glass Links Rather Than Metal Ones Change What the Chain Does to Light

A metal chain in a light fitting is a structural part you try not to notice. Glass links are the opposite. Light from the globe travels up into the chain, so each link glows a little and the color of the glass carries down the whole drop. In pink against a window blind the effect is closest to jewelry, in green it is quieter and reads more like stone. Either way the chain is what you look at and the globe is only the source. How much light does 500 lumens give?

About as much as a candle cluster. This is an accent piece, not a reading light. Put it beside a chair or a bed for atmosphere and keep a stronger source in the room for the times you need to see.

Is the chain really glass?

Yes. The links are cast glass in green or pink and they hang loose from the hook, so they catch light along the chain and shift a little when there is movement in the room. A metal chain would read as hardware instead.

Are the links fragile?

Treat them as glass, because that is what they are. They are not in a walkway at 65 inches up, but do not let a door swing into the rod and do not pull the chain to move the lamp.

What bulb does it take?

A G9 capsule, one included, rated 5W and about 500 lumens in warm 3000K. G9 bulbs are small and common, so replacing one is straightforward and you can change the color temperature when you do.

Does the arm adjust?

Plan on a fixed rod. It looks fixed in every photograph and it is set at the hub. If an adjustable arm is what the room needs, tell us and we will point you at one that moves.

The rod stands 65 inches, which is higher than most floor lamps, but the globe hangs from a chain well below that, so the light itself lands at roughly chest height when you are standing and above your head when you sit. The base is only 10.5 inches wide and 5 inches deep, which is a small footprint for that height. It slides into the gap beside a headboard or an armchair where a wider lamp would not go. It also means the piece wants a wall behind it rather than an open floor.

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?
