Almost every wall light range varies one thing: how tall the fixture is. This one varies two, and the second is the one that changes the look of an elevation. The shallow build stands 2 inches off the render, which is barely more than the back plate, so the wall reads as a flat plane with a lit rectangle on it. The deep build stands 4.7 inches out, catches raking light down one edge by day, and throws a shadow that makes the fixture read as a solid object rather than a panel. Same face, same output, same frame. Two quite different results on the same wall, and the price difference between them is small.

What difference does the depth make?

A visual one. At 2 inches the body is nearly flush and the facade stays flat, which suits a modern elevation. At 4.7 inches it projects, throws a shadow down one side and reads as a distinct object.

Which depth for a narrow passage?

The 2 inch. Anything standing almost five inches off the wall in a side passage or a covered walk is in the way, and the shallow build removes that problem without giving up the lit area.

What is different about the dimmable build?

It takes a triac dimmer, which has to sit outside the fixture on the circuit. The driver cannot be built in, so the dimmer is planned with the wiring rather than added later.

Can I have it in a cooler light?

Warm 3000K is what ships as standard. Neutral 4000K and cool 6000K are also built for it, so tell us which one you want and we will pass it on with your order.

How is it fixed to the wall?

Hardwired on AC 110-240V through the back plate. Lap siding needs a mounting block so the plate lands flat, which is also what lets the gasket behind it seal against water.

Is it rated for an open elevation?

Yes, IP65 covers dust and water jets from any direction. Do not immerse it. The grooves in the face hold a little grit over a season, so rinse them when you clean the glass nearby.

A flat translucent panel lit from behind is the default for modern exterior fixtures, and it has one weakness: at close range it is a uniform bright shape with nothing to look at and a hard edge where it meets the frame. The face here is ribbed, a close run of grooves across its whole width, and each groove refracts the light along its own length. From the path that reads as an even warm panel. From two feet away, walking past it to the door, it resolves into a set of fine vertical lines with the frame drawn around them. It costs nothing in output and it is the difference between a lit panel and a lit surface.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
