This version of the ceramic disc light comes with about 6 feet of cord, a standard US plug and an inline on and off switch. The bracket takes two screws, the cord drops to the nearest outlet and the fitting is live the same afternoon. Everything else is the same piece: hand glazed discs on a curving gold stem, each lit from behind so the wall fills with soft light.

Do I need an electrician?

The bracket mounts with two screws and the cord plugs into a standard US outlet. That is the reason this version exists alongside the hardwired one, and it is what makes it usable on a rented wall.

How long is the cord?

About 6 feet, with a standard US plug and an inline on and off switch. Measure from the bracket position to the outlet before you fix the height, because 6 feet disappears quickly on a tall wall.

Which bulbs does it take?

One G4 bi-pin bulb per disc, and they must be 110V line voltage bulbs. The 12V low voltage G4 bulbs sold for under cabinet strips look identical and will not work here. Bulbs are not included.

Can I hide the cord?

Yes. A paintable cord cover run down the wall to the outlet takes the drop out of view for the price of an afternoon. Plan the route before mounting, since the bracket position decides where the cord lands.

Which layout should I choose?

Horizontal runs of 4, 6 or 8 discs measure 19.7 to 37.4 inches across and suit a headboard or a sofa. Vertical cascades stay under 15 inches wide and suit a narrow wall beside a door or a stair.

Can it go in a bathroom?

It is rated IP20, with no protection against water, and there is a plug and a cord in the circuit as well. Keep it to dry bedrooms, hallways and living rooms, well away from a shower.

An Inline Switch on the Cord Beats a Wall Switch You Cannot Reach From Bed

A hardwired sconce is only as convenient as the switch it is wired to, and above a bed that switch is usually by the door. The cord on this version carries its own on and off switch, so the light goes off from where you are lying rather than from across the room. The trade is a visible cord, which a paintable cord cover hides in an afternoon if the drop bothers you. For a bedside, a reading corner or a rented wall, that trade is usually worth making, and it is the difference between a fitting you use every night and one you switch on twice.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return an item?

You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To start, email us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will send you the return address and instructions. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. On approved returns, we provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you. Please note that a return should never be sent to the manufacturer's address; only to the address our team provides.

I received a damaged or defective item. What should I do?

We are sorry to hear that. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery if you can, then contact us at support@orodwell.com with your order number and a photo of the item. We will prioritise your request and arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Refund Policy.

Can I change my mind after ordering?

Yes. If you change your mind within 24 hours of placing your order, before it has been processed, we will refund you right away. After an order has shipped, please follow the standard return process described above.
